I dream of life
Living and thriving
Seeing and reaching
Failing and winning
Wanting and having
I hope for life
In laughter and joy
In smiles and pain
In family and friends
In hurt and love
I fear of life
the world
the drums
the beat
the dust
I doubt life
Its foolishness
Its stupidity
Its gaiety
Its reality
But what is life but
a dream
a hope
a fear
and a doubt?
I walked toward the orange stairway
guarded by the three chairs
watching me in solitude as I went
I greeted the table
before it started to sing
the song of merriment
of joy
and eternal bliss
The chairs joined in singing
of companionship
the dog barked a jolly melody
of submission
The sky's melody painted
the most glorious picture
of a constant warmth
even the clouds seemed enlightened
Only the ground moaned
of unbearable pain
but his moans were coated in a sugary light
in the most wonderful harmony
And it was all a lie, a lie of foolish fakeness
Everything is a lie
and a lie is everything
Cut the crap
stop the falsehoods
tell the story without the rose
Everything is so wrong,
so incredibly fake,
so horrific
and oh so frightening
So stop telling the sincere
the story of sincerity
tell the tale of the dirt,
the horror
and of the world
Tell the tale
shout it out loud
And tell me
answer me
Why is it
so,
beautiful?
